The Lost Lighthouse A podcast brought to you by the creators of geeky community blog www.thelostlighthouse.com

Welcome to Season 2 of Total Reroll, our Dungeons and Dragons podcast! Adam has been playing some some good old fashioned D&D with some friends in London, except it isn't old fashioned because it's 5th edition. After finishing 'Hoard of the Dragon Queen', we've moved on with the same characters to 'Rise of Tiamat', the second part of the Tyranny of Dragons storyline. You can find a mega-post of all of the Season 1 content here and all of Season 2 so far here.

The gang is out on the open sea in search of their friend Archdruid Oakfist, who has been captured by a dragon turtle. They are now going to fight said dragon turtle. And some sharks. And fishmen.

Welcome back to The Weekly Rapture, our fortnightly pop culture news and reviews podcast!

Big News

This week we chat about the new Rogue One trailerResident Evil: The Final Chapter (please), the new Ghostbusters possibly not getting a sequel, No Man's Sky and Kevin Conroy's opinion of Batman's murderous nature in Batman V Superman.

Screentime - Double Feature of Suicide Squad & Stranger Things

This week we did a Screentime two-parter. First Adam and Ian review and discuss Suicide Squad, the latest DC cinematic universe film from David Ayer and Warner Brothers. We go through what we thought of the film, what we didn't like and try desperately to think of something we did like about it. We do go fairly spoiler heavy, so if you care about having the film spoiled then skip from 18:20-44:15.

In the second part we were joined by our pal Kirsty Flower, who plays Dariah on our D&D podcast Total Reroll, and the three of us chatted about Stranger Things. We mainly did this because we knew we were going to be very negative about Suicide Squad, and wanted to talk about something much more positive! We went into what we liked about the show and try desperately to think of something we didn't like. We don't go nearly as far into spoiler territory for this part, but there are minor spoilers so if you haven't watched it yet (and you should) then skip from 44:15-61:43.

Now Playing

Adam Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett/Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Series 6/Finished Uncharted 4 on PS4

The gang has come up with a plan to stop the dragon cult from raising Tiamat and generally ending the world as we know it, and it is probably legally distinct from any schemes hatched by any rogue AIs in any Disney-owned properties. Probably. But they have a few people to convince before they can carry the plan out!

Welcome back to The Weekly Rapture, and welcome to our first episode with our new co-host Ian Green. Ian is the DM on our D&D podcast, and after 67 episodes of dealing with Skype problems he is stepping in to join Adam in an all-London podcast, so expect sirens. We'll be keeping some stuff the same, changing or rebranding others, and maybe introducing some new features over the next couple of episodes. We hope you enjoy it!

News

This week we were largely talking about all of the footage released from this year's San Diego Comic Con, so we chat about (in varying levels of detail): Wonder WomanJustice LeagueKong: Skull IslandFantastic Beasts and Where to Find ThemLego BatmanDoctor StrangeLuke CageIron FistThe DefendersThe Great Wall and Blair Witch. Aside from all that SDCC nonsense, we also talk about the problems with Pokémon Go's updates, No Man's Sky and the huge number of copies of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child that have been sold.
Screentime - Our tentative title for film and TV reviews and discussion

For the first instalment of Screentime (please, if you can think of a better title let us know!) we are reviewing and discussing Star Trek: Beyond, the 3rd instalment of the rebooted Star Trek movie universe. We go fairly spoiler heavy, so if you haven't seen it yet and don't want parts of the plot spoiled for you then skip from 43:34-67:10. We go into what we thought of the film, and what worked and didn't work (or who didn't work) for us.
Now Playing - Our catchup for what media we have been consuming, the title of which we came up with after recording. We'll be chatting about what we are reading, watching and playing right now!

Adam - Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse, Stranger Things on Netflix and Uncharted 4 on PS4
Ian - Vengeance of the Iron Dwarf by R.A. Salvatore, Mass Effect 3 on Xbox 360 and he isn't watching anything right now.

After avoiding Xonthal's Tower and recovering the blue dragon mask, the gang heads back to Waterdeep to start preparations for facing off against the cult of the dragon. Which means it is time for some crazy plans for stopping the cult's plan to raise Tiamat!
